Tuesday, November 13, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
San Diego Convention Center Room 18
Chaired by: T.J. Shors and T.A. Otto.
Much of our recent progress in understanding the neurobiology of learning and memory has emerged from studies examining the neural substrates of Pavlovian conditioning. The intersection of Pavlovian conditioning and basic neuroscience is reflected in the membership of the Pavlovian Society, which has over 100 members, over half of which are members of the Society for Neuroscience. The purposes of the social are twofold. First, the social will provide a forum in which the members of the Pavlovian Society will have the opportunity to discuss, in an informal setting, the recent findings examining the neural substrates of Pavlovian conditioning that will be presented at the meeting. Second, the proposed social will allow us to introduce the Pavlovian Society to potential new members whose primary interest is basic neuroscience.
